Tardigraid

In the small, quiet, research town of Landwell, a secret experiment has gone horribly wrong, and a legion of mutated tardigrades have been unleashed to wreak havoc.

Tardigraid is a wave-based first-person shooter wherein the player takes the role of The Mad Scientist  as they attempt to reach the research lab at the end of town, and stop the tardigrades from destroying Landwell. Utilizing handcrafted scientific weaponry, the Mad Scientist will travel to key locations in town, and hold out against waves of multiple types of mutated tardigrades. To help even the odds against the onslaught of nature’s toughest organism, The Mad Scientist can take advantage of the world around him to create defenses and increase his chances of survival. The fate of Landwell, and Mad Science as a profession, depends on it.

Push/Pull - Scroll Wheel

Place Nail - Right Mouse Button

Retrieve Nail - R key while looking at a previously placed nail

---KNOWN BUGS---

-Player sometimes stops taking damage after respawning

-Enemies sometimes stop spawning ragdolls after they've been killed

-Grunts in the General Store will have the Phaser Shield visual effect on them despite there being no Phaser

-Enemies will get stuck on props they should be able to navigate around

-VFX disappear at certain camera angles 

-Sometimes the ending sequence and scene transition won't play out after the allotted time in the final objective

-General performance issues

This was a student project developed in a relatively short time-span with a team of relatively inexperienced developers. It lacks a lot of polish, and has a multitude of technical issues, but we hope our core ideas come across well to you, and that you enjoy the experience nonetheless!
